About this camp

The Battle Bots Challenge: Robotics Camp at Pierce Institute offers middle schoolers an immersive, hands-on experience in robotics and engineering. Campers utilize VEX IQ kits, the same technology used by top robotics teams, to design, build, modify, and code their own battle-ready robots. The program emphasizes practical application of STEM principles through engaging activities like engineering gear systems, motorized mechanisms, and intelligent programming. Participants will engage in one-on-one duels within a specially designed Battle Arena, developing strategic thinking and combat techniques. The camp culminates in a Grand Finale exhibition where campers showcase their creations. An experienced high school robotics team member from an award-winning local team mentors campers, providing inspiration and insight into advanced robotics competition.
