The UT Dallas Computer Science K-12 Outreach Deep-dive AI Workshop is an intensive 8-week program designed for advanced high school students. Participants gain hands-on experience in machine learning and deep learning, developing advanced coding and data analysis skills. The curriculum covers data processing, machine learning fundamentals, neural networks, and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow. Students work on real-world projects, culminating in a capstone project presentation. The workshop aims to provide a strong foundation in AI, an impressive portfolio project, and a performance-based recommendation letter.
Students attend full-day sessions Monday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a lunch break, and receive supervision from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
This workshop is ideal for advanced high school students (age 15 and up) with prior Python programming and high school level math skills, who are willing to invest significant time and energy into learning advanced coding and data analysis for real-life AI projects.
