The UT Dallas Computer Science Research Program offers an intensive 8-week in-person Deep-dive AI Workshop for advanced high school students aged 15 and up. Participants will gain hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning under the guidance of UT Dallas CS doctorate and graduate students, with faculty lead Dr. Anurag Nagar. The curriculum covers foundational Python programming for AI, data analysis using libraries like NumPy and pandas, and the application of advanced coding skills to real-world projects. Students will explore machine learning concepts, including model building with decision trees and neural networks, and delve into modern AI topics like computer vision and sequence models. The program culminates in a capstone project and presentation, allowing students to apply their acquired knowledge and skills. A camp completion certificate and a recommendation letter based on performance will be provided.
Students attend sessions Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break, with supervision provided from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
This program is ideal for advanced high school students (age 15+) with familiarity in Python programming and high school level math, who are eager to invest time and energy in learning advanced coding and data analysis skills for real-life AI projects.
