About this camp

The UTD Research Program for High School Students offers an intensive 8-week Deep-dive AI Workshop. This in-person program is designed for highly motivated, advanced-level high school students (age 15 and up) with prior coding experience. Participants will engage in learning advanced coding skills, data analysis techniques, and apply these to real-life artificial intelligence and machine learning projects. The workshop aims to provide students with the necessary support and guidance to delve deep into AI concepts and potentially contribute to ongoing research. Students will explore topics such as Python programming, data analysis tools (NumPy, pandas), machine learning model building (decision trees, neural networks), and identifying problems solvable by ML. The program is taught by UTD CS doctorate and graduate students, with faculty lead Dr. Anurag Nagar, and culminates in a camp completion certificate and a potential recommendation letter based on performance.

What a typical day looks like

Students attend the workshop Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with an hour-long lunch break. Supervision is provided from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
