About this camp

Camp SOAR at the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center offers a highly interactive and hands-on summer camp experience for 3rd through 7th graders. Campers delve into the science of flight by exploring real aircraft and participating in engaging experiments and team challenges. The curriculum is structured around four key tracks: STEM principles in aerospace, exploring various aerospace occupations through tours and interactions with industry professionals, learning aviation history using a unique collection of aircraft, and reflecting on character and leadership inspired by World War II artifacts and veterans. Through these activities, students develop problem-solving skills, enhance collaboration with peers, and engage in critical thinking, fostering curiosity and confidence in young learners.
