About this camp

Campers delve into aerial robotics technology, gaining aviation flight skills and interactive robotics training through engaging educational scenarios and challenges. Activities include flying new Tello Boost drones and conducting test scenarios for safety, search, and rescue missions. Participants work in teams to apply technology and planning to construct quadrotors designed for specific first responder missions. These missions involve building and navigating obstacle courses, learning about aerodynamics, mastering drone flight and landing, maneuvering drones near mock hazardous waste containers, and searching for lost hikers. By the end of the week, each camper will operate and take home their own hand-size quadcopter. The program aims to foster an interest in career fields such as Science, Math, and Engineering, while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
