About this camp

Dallas United Crew (DUC) Summer Camps offer youth athletes a comprehensive introduction to and development in the sport of rowing. Participants engage in hands-on coaching, learning rowing mechanics, erg biomechanics, and stroke efficiency. Camps emphasize teamwork, fitness, and skill development in a fun and safe environment on White Rock Lake. Athletes progress through various stages, from mastering basic techniques in docked barges to practicing in tandem boats and eventually 8-oared shells. The program culminates in a competitive 500-meter race on "Gold vs. Blue Day," fostering a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie. Beyond technical skills, campers build endurance, strength, discipline, accountability, and self-confidence, preparing them for potential collegiate rowing careers.
