About this camp

The 2026 Science of Baseball & Softball presented by Nike is a two-week summer program designed for students in 3rd-5th grade (ages 8-11) that connects science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) with the games of baseball and softball. Participants will engage in activities that explore various aspects of STEM and how they relate to the sports, as well as how STEM is used in everyday life. The program aims to develop an understanding of scientific principles through hands-on experiences related to baseball and softball, such as measuring strike zones, field geometry, batter and defensive reaction times, and the sweet spot on a bat. The curriculum is designed to expose students to careers in the STEM and sports workforce.

Athletes must be committed to attending the full two weeks, Monday through Friday. The program emphasizes skill development in baseball and softball while integrating educational programming to foster academic success and teamwork. It provides a unique opportunity to learn from experienced coaching staff and engage in both on-field development and classroom learning.
